Ponte Hercílio Luz

Inicialmente chamada de Ponte da Independência por ser o primeiro elo de ligação entre a Ilha e o Continente, a ponte recebeu posteriormente o nome de seu idealizador, o governador Hercílio Luz, que morreu antes de vê-la concluída. Initially called Bridge of Independence for being the first connector link between the Island and the Continent, the bridge later received the name from its idealizer, the governor Hercílio Luz, that died before seeing his work concluded it.
